This workshop presents practical and specific interventions that address the meaning of misbehavior. Transitions, task completion, and getting along with others can be challenging for children with Down Syndrome, Autism and other developmental disabilities.  Video and case examples illustrate how to use positive strategies to encourage cooperation and learning.

ALICE BELGRADE, M.S. Ed., LCPC, BCBA, is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor.  A graduate of the University of Tennessee, she received her Masters Degree from Northern Illinois University.  Her experience spans more than twenty years in the fields of education and behavior analysis.  She has provided individualized and classroom instruction to children and adults with a variety of disabilities, and has also served as staff behavior analyst for community-based agencies.   Her distinctive behavior management programs are characterized by a blend of sound behaviorist theory, practical and accessible techniques, and realistic goals.  In addition to training staff consultants and graduate students, Ms. Belgrade is a sought-after speaker for parent and professional groups.  Her unique approach to the science of behaviorism has gained popularity whenever it is presented.  She is currently the Behavior Analyst for the Community Unit School District #95.
